Ken Michaels is the President & Lead Investigator of iGround, a Florida-based training and consulting company, which performs renowned hands-on training and site investigative services as they pertain to grounding, bonding, power quality, and electrical system troubleshooting techniques. He holds several professional certifications but is especially proud of attaining the Certified Power Quality Professional (CPQ). He is also the inventor of a unique electrical testing device called the INTELLIGROUND. Ken is a member of the IEEE Grounding Subcommittee and the IEEE’s Working Group on Power Quality. He is also a chapter chairman for the IEEE’s Green (Standard 142) and Emerald (Standard 1100) Book and the author of numerous articles, IEEE papers, computer-based training courses, and virtual reality training on a variety of power quality subjects, including grounding and bonding, that directly address the issues related to telecommunications infrastructure (inside/outside plant), radio towers, and data center environments. He has served as co-Chapter Chairman/Subject Matter Expert for the BICSI’s Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual and a contributor to the ITSIMM.
